This is an educational role, designing, creating and delivering workshops for all ages and abilities to encourage exploration of the visual arts and self expression. Class sizes can vary from 10 to 120 and can often involve “whole school/community” activities.
Working as an ICT, Life Skills and Arts teacher requires completely student centred teaching and flexible/diplomatic communication skills. Lessons are modular in format and can range from Level 1 to 3, with several different topics being covered in one class. Dealing with numerous barriers to learning an in-depth understanding of inclusion and differentiation is required.
