20th Symposium of the Society for Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics, April 5-6, 2012
The 20th Annual Symposium of the Society for Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics will be held at the İstanbul Bilgi University in İstanbul, Turkey on April 5-6, 2012. The aim of the meeting is to present and discuss recent developments in theoretical and empirical analysis of nonlinearity in economics and finance. The Craig Hiemstra Memorial speaker will be M. Hashem Pesaran (Cambridge University).

***New Deadline: Submissions must be received on or before Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Authors will be notified whether their papers have been accepted for the Symposium by January 18, 2012.
All registrants, including presenters (invited and contributed) must pay the registration fee, which helps defray the cost of the meeting. The registration fee is 300 USD (250 USD before February 15, 2012). ^ .
Papers presented at the conference may be considered for publication in the society’s journal, Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics, which is published by the Berkeley Electronic Press and which can be accessed at

The Society will award two $500 prizes: the James B. Ramsey prize for the top paper in econometrics presented by a graduate student; and the Gerald P. Dwyer prize for the top paper in finance presented by a graduate student. Graduate students’ electronic submissions should be followed up by a letter on official university stationary from a professor certifying that the submitter is a graduate student in good standing. An electronic version of this letter should be emailed by the professor to James Morley at email@example.com by March 16, 2012.
Istanbul Bilgi University has also applied to the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) for funds to sponsor doctoral students who present their research at the conference. Doctoral students are encouraged to submit their research for presentation.
